Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Franchise GTM (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Franchise GTM provides business intelligence data about franchise operators, including owner resolution, location data, and FDD context for outbound sales and market research. The Service is currently in beta and provided on an “as is” basis.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete registration information. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Resell, redistribute, or republish the data without authorization
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated scraping tools against the Service at rates that degrade performance
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
  • Use the data for harassment, stalking, or any purpose that violates individual privacy rights

5. Data Accuracy

Franchise GTM aggregates data from public sources including FDD filings, state business registries, and business listings. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data. You should verify critical information independently before making business decisions.

6. API Access

API access is governed by your plan tier. You must use your assigned API key for all programmatic access. API keys may be revoked for abuse, excessive usage, or violation of these terms. Rate limits apply per your plan.

7. Intellectual Property

The Franchise GTM platform, including its software, design, and aggregated data compilations, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The underlying public data remains in the public domain; our compilation and resolution logic is proprietary.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Franchise GTM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data export requests made before termination will be honored for 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
