Franchise GTM ships a local Model Context Protocol server. Any agent — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode — can search owners, build lists, and export CSVs directly from the data. No UI to grind.

One-line setup

Clone the repo, npm install, add your .env (Supabase keys, or none — it falls back to the bundled CSVs), then register the server:

OpenCode

opencode.json
{
  "mcp": {
    "franchise-gtm": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["--env-file=.env", "mcp/server.mjs"],
      "enabled": true
    }
  }
}

Claude Code

.mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "franchise-gtm": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["--env-file=.env", "mcp/server.mjs"]
    }
  }
}

Codex

.codex/config.toml
[mcp_servers.franchise-gtm]
command = "node"
args = ["--env-file=.env", "mcp/server.mjs"]

Tools

Everything an agent needs to research and build lists:

search_ownersFilter owners by brand, state, status, outlet count — returns owner entity, principal, confidence, source.
get_brandBrand profile: outlets, owner resolution, FDD coverage, economics.
build_listCreate a named list of owner accounts (persists across sessions).
list_lists / get_listManage your saved lists.
add_to_listAppend search results to a list (dedupes automatically).
remove_from_listDrop an account from a list.
export_listWrite the list to a CSV on disk — the file lands in your hands.

Try it

Prompt your agent with any of these:

  • Build me a list of verified multi-unit home-service owners in Texas, 5+ locations, and export it as CSV.
  • Who are the probable owners under Mosquito Squad? Add them to a review list.
  • Show me the biggest franchise owners by outlet count.

The data is source-honest: every result carries a confidence score and a source URL; unresolved owners stay unresolved. Lists export as CSV to data/mcp-exports/.
